At the end of March this year, UNICEF created a three-part animated film series, “Unfairy Tales,” to put human faces to the stories of Syrian child refugees. To extend this idea in digital, 180LA asked MediaMonks to turn one of the stories into an interactive storybook. “Mustafa Goes for a Walk,” is a heartbroken story of a refugee child that need to leave his familie and friends behind while flee from the terror in his country.

The digital storybook appeared in 4 languages and uses simple mobile native behaviour to keep the focus on the story. It’s playful with a serious twist at the end.
